Green Grotto Caves

Ownership and Recognition

Acknowledging the immense potential of this historical and natural marquee, the government of Jamaica entrusted its ownership and operation to the Urban Development Corporation and the St Ann Development Company. Since then, the caves have been nurtured and developed into a world-class attraction, earning accolades such as the Green Globe 21 Certification in 2003, and even achieving platinum-status certification in 2009.
